The dwellers of the shattered towers of New York City dream of a faraway place left unscoured by the nuclear fires of Zero Hour – Africa. The pre-holocaust superpowers ignored Africa and all of its problems in their suicidal struggle for world domination. As such, they completely omitted it from all of their strategic contingencies for nuclear war.

Africa is said to have undergone a transformative renaissance since Zero Hour, to have become a paradise overflowing with milk and honey. Its very existence has become mythologized by the indigenous syncretic relgion of La Via that has spread throughout the towers.
